Substantive changes should preserve the scholarly record. A corrected, updated, withdrawn or retracted article should retain a transparent version history rather than silently replacing the prior record.
AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain responsible for scientific content, data, citations and images. Language-editing assistance must not transfer confidential manuscript material to services that are not appropriate for confidential scholarly content. Detailed disclosure rules require editorial approval.
The current site uses no third-party analytics. Email addresses submitted for abstract notifications are stored by the journal for that notification purpose.
Articles are mainly available in open access; access to some articles may require a subscription. Article-specific copyright and licence metadata should be displayed only after the applicable terms have been verified.
Authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, data availability, appeals and complaints should be covered by approved journal rules that reflect actual editorial practice and are not copied mechanically from another publisher.
